Return Policy

We’re a small company with real human beings (not just web pages and computers) so we really do appreciate your business. We are committed to making you happy. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you can return it within 30 days for exchange or a full refund (excluding shipping charges). All returns must be in original factory condition, including all packaging materials, inserts, warranty cards (not filled out), manuals and all accessories. Returned items that do not meet these requirements may be subject to a restocking fee. Shipping charges are non-refundable. If you need to return an item, please contact us by phone or e-mail to get an RA# (Return Authorization number). Orders returned without an RA# may be refused.

 

•ONE-YEAR REPLACEMENT POLICY ON ALL BLANK MINIDISCS:
Minidisco warrantees all BLANK MINIDISCS and other blank recording media that we sell to be defect-free for one year after purchase. If you find your undamaged MiniDisc malfunctioning within a year, just send it to us, and we’ll send you a fresh, new MiniDisc to take its place. Please note that non-defective blank MiniDiscs and other media cannot be returned for refund or exchange once the master packaging has been opened.

•30-DAY RETURN POLICY ON EVERYTHING ELSE:
If for any reason you wish to return or exchange the new items you purchased from us, you may also do so within 30 days of the date of your purchase. Please Note: Minidisco will only accept returns for items that are received in their original packaging, in undamaged and re-sellable (new) condition. Manuals, accessories, warranty cards, and everything else that came with the unit must be included as well. If your return does not meet these conditions (that is, we can’t just put the merchandise back up on the shelf), you’ll be charged a 15% re-stocking fee or have the merchandise returned to you. All Blister Packed merchandise (plastic mold packaging that cannot be resealed after opening) will automatically incur a 15% restocking fee (we hate to do this, but while manufacturers keep packaging stuff this way, there’s not much we can do!).  Items damaged because of customer abuse or negligence will not be accepted. If your merchandise malfunctions or breaks after 30 days, you’ll have to rely on the manufacturer’s warranty for repair service. 

•SOFTWARE RETURNS:
Opened copies of software packages that we sell cannot be returned. If for any reason you feel you have received a copy that is defective, the manufacturer will supply a replacement, not us. When you purchase software, you are paying for a license to use it and not for the physical media it is shipped on. Most software manufacturers will happily replace CD's or make a copy available for download. PLEASE remember to register your software with the manufacturer after installing so that you can receive full support for your product.

• HOW TO MAKE A RETURN:
Contact Minidisco by telephone at 310-675-4500 to let us know there’s a problem, and we’ll give you a RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER (RA#). Follow the instructions provided by our customer service staff, use suitable packing materials (please send it back in a shipping box for safety!), and make sure to write your RA# on the outside of your box when sending your return to us. Orders that are returned without an RA# may be refused by our returns department! Once we get your unit, we’ll check it out and contact you to complete the return. It’s that simple!
