The housing is machined from a non-metallic polymer, which feels like velvet and is as tough as metal. The cable is securely held in place by a cable lock strain relief system, which makes the Auris system a very durable microphone. Handling noise, which is a common microphone problem, has been addressed by a unique internal shock mount system. The frequency response is flat and even, making the recording of musical instruments an easy and rewarding experience. This also makes it well suited for a variety of ambient sound recording applications. Left and right channels are spaced approximately 24� apart, sharing a common dual channel 6ft shielded cable. This allows you to mount them in a variety of locations. Left and right channel Stereo recordings are easily achievable with the Auris Stereo Microphone. Twin electret, omni directional microphone elements are matched for a balanced recording. The Auris stereo microphone comes complete with a clothing clip to conveniently adjust microphone placement during recordings. Premium windscreens are included for windy locations.
